3D Model: Simple Diamond

  1. Delete All Default Objects: Start by deleting all default objects in the scene.
  2. Add a Cone: Go to Add > Mesh > Cone.
  3. Adjust Vertices: In the cone settings (which appear at the bottom left after adding the cone), change Vertices to 4 (or your desired number).
  4. Switch to Edit Mode: Press Tab or select Edit Mode from the mode dropdown.
  5. (Optional) Enable Viewport Shading: For better visualization, switch to Viewport Shading.
  6. Select Face Mode: Click on Face Select Mode (the face icon in the toolbar).
  7. Select the Base Face: Click on the base face of the cone to select it.
  8. Snap Cursor to Selected: Go to Mesh > Snap > Cursor to Selected to move the 3D Cursor to the center of the base face.
  9. Return to Object Mode: Switch to Object Mode by pressing Tab or selecting it from the mode dropdown.
  10. Select the Cone Object: Press A to select the whole cone object.
  11. Set Origin to 3D Cursor: Right-click on the cone and choose Set Origin > Origin to 3D Cursor.
  12. Reset 3D Cursor Position: Press Shift + C to reset the 3D Cursor to the world origin.
  13. Align Selection to Cursor: Press Shift + S and choose Selection to Cursor (Keep Offset) to align the object relative to the world’s origin while keeping its offset.
  14. Add Mirror Modifier: In the Modifiers tab, click Add Modifier and select Mirror under the Generate section.
  15. Configure Mirror Modifier:
    • Axis: Enable the Z axis (deselect X and Y).
    • Clipping: Check the Clipping option.
    • Merge: Enable Merge and keep the Merge Distance at the default value (e.g., 0.001 m).
